Soybeans fall for seventh day

Johannesburg - South African soybeans fell for a seventh session to the lowest level for the most-active contract since October 17 in Johannesburg.

Soybeans for delivery in May, dropped 1.3 percent to 5,575 rand ($530) a metric ton, the longest streak since September 25.

Wheat gained 0.2 percent to 3,889 rand a ton.

White corn for delivery in July gained 0.6 percent to 2,099 rand a ton, while the yellow type rose 0.6 percent to 2,204 rand a ton.

The nation is the continent’s largest producer of corn.
