New York - The euro is falling against the dollar after finance ministers delayed $40-billion in aid for Greece.

The ministers will meet again on November 20 to make a decision about releasing the much-needed aid to Greece.

On Tuesday, Greece's European neighbors decided to give the country two more years to meet its economic targets. They remain at odds with the International Monetary Fund over how to make the country's debt manageable over the longer term.

The euro fell to $1.2707 in afternoon trading from $1.2714 late on Monday. The British pound fell to $1.5874 from $1.5882.

The dollar fell to 79.40 Japanese yen from 79.46 Japanese yen and to 0.9476 Swiss franc from 0.9479 Swiss franc. - Sapa-AP
