South Africa's rand weakened more than 1.4 percent against the dollar to a six-week low as fears of the debt crisis in Europe spreading hit risk appetite globally.
At 10:22 SA time the rand traded at 6.9069 to the dollar after earlier falling to 6.95, its weakest level since May 27, from Monday's close at 6.8450. - Reuters
