Johannesburg‚ Dec 28 (I-Net Bridge) - The rand was mostly unchanged on Friday morning as traders enter holiday mode.
“The rand is really doing anything today‚ trading has a holiday feel to it. We have very thin trading conditions at the moment‚” a local trader said.
At 8.37am‚ the rand was bid at R8.4882 to the US dollar from its previous close of R8.4778 on Thursday. The local currency was bid at R11.2426 to the euro from its previous close of R11.2293 and at R13.6787 against sterling from R13.6571 before.
The euro was bid at $1.3244 from its overnight close of $1.3247.
