Rand rallies on Zuma re-election

South Africa's rand edged higher against the dollar on Tuesday after the ruling ANC re-elected President Jacob Zuma as its leader and brought in respected businessman Cyril Ramaphosa as his deputy.

The rand firmed to 8.5520 to the greeenback from 8.5585 before the announcement. - Reuters
