Lonmin shares jump after peace deal

Johannesburg - Shares of Lonmin jumped more than 4 percent in early trade after the platinum producer signed a peace deal with some unions presenting striking workers in South Africa.

The small but militant Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union did not ink the accord, which some fear may scupper the deal.

At 0704 GMT, Lonmin shares traded 4.5 percent higher at 75 rand. - Reuters
