Johannesburg - Business Against Crime SA (Bacsa) has appointed advocate Simi Pillay-van Graan as its CEO with effect from September 1, Bacsa said on Wednesday.
She would replace Dr Graham Wright, who had decided not to renew his contract after a long tenure of service, it said in a statement.
Bacsa thanked Wright for his invaluable contribution in the past 14 years, said Bacsa chairwoman Yedwa Simelane.
It welcomed Pillay-van Graan, who had worked for Bacsa for eight years as a senior project manager and executive.
Pillay-van Graan has a BProc LLB from the University of Natal, and an MBA from the University of South Africa.
She previously worked for the National Prosecuting Authority as a prosecutor and for the police as a specialist legal officer in organised crime.
She thanked Wright for his leadership and said she was honoured to be chosen as Bacsa's new CEO. - Sapa
