Johannesburg - Themba Dlamini has been appointed as the new managing director of the Black Management Forum, it said on Friday.

Dlamini would assume his new role on April 1, the organisation said in a statement.

Dlamini is the outgoing chief executive of the National Gambling Board and has more than 15 years' experience in the public sector.

Before joining the NGB, Dlamini was chief executive of the Independent Communications Authority of SA, the BMF said.

“The board is confident that, with this appointment, the forum now has both the leadership and the staff to build on its existing strengths and develop in the new directions that will ensure the continuance of (the) organisation's mandate of developing managerial skills.” - Sapa
