GM warns on impact of labour instability

US vehicle giant General Motors (GM) has reconfirmed its commitment to the South African market but called on the government, business and labour to address the labour volatility, instability and unpredictability in the country.

However, Mario Spangenberg, the president of GM Africa, stressed yesterday that South Africa could not expect multinationals to invest in the country as part of a social responsibility project.
