Governance: DA welcomes disbandment

The DA yesterday welcomed the disbandment of the Mpumalanga economic growth agency and tourism and parks agency boards. The party hoped Premier David Mabuza and his colleagues would commit themselves to clean corporate governance free from political interference, provincial leader Willie Venter said. Mabuza’s office said at the weekend the boards had been disbanded following an executive council lekgotla which said the boards of both agencies had failed to deliver on their mandates, spokesman Zibonele Mncwango said. – Sapa
