The deadline for comments on the draft end-user and subscriber service charter had been extended to March 15, Independent Communications Authority of SA (Icasa) said yesterday. The charter prescribes the minimum standard levels for services that licensed electronic communications network operators, such as cellphone network companies, provide. Icasa said it was “of the view that the charter will go a long way in addressing a major challenge of poor network quality and dropped calls that consumers continue to complain about”. – Asha Speckman
