Johannesburg -
Energy Minister Ben Martins will on Friday host a strategic engagement session with independent power producers (IPP).
The event would be held at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) offices in Pretoria.
“This session will afford the minister an opportunity to interact with IPPs for the first time since his appointment as minister of energy,” the energy department said in a statement.
IPPs were entities which either owned and or operated facilities that generate electric power.
They then sell the power to a utility, central government buyer or to end users. - Sapa
