The Southern African Clothing and Textile Workers Union has settled a wage dispute in the wool and mohair textiles sub-sector. The settlement package was a wage rise of 8 percent for the first year and 8 percent in the second year, union general secretary Andre Kriel said on Friday. Another 0.5 percentage point rise would come into effect in the second year, should consumer inflation exceed 8 percent by next April. – Sapa
