Personal Finance editor Bruce Cameron has won the Sanlam Excellence in Financial Journalism Award in the personal finance section – and this is the 14th year in the 16 years that Personal Finance has been in existence that he has done so. This year, Cameron received the award mainly for his articles about passive investments.
Cameron was also a finalist in the markets and companies section for the articles he wrote last year for Personal Finance’s sister publication, Business Report, mainly on the retirement fund surplus-stripping saga.
Cameron has been the overall winner of the Sanlam Excellence in Financial Journalism Award; has won the Vodacom Journalist of the Year Award and the Mondi Shanduka Print Journalist of the Year Award; and has been the overall winner, for four times, of the Citadel Words on Money Award.
