The country’s medical schemes have reached a new level of financial soundness, according to the Council for Medical Schemes’s latest annual report. And yet you, the member, continue to face above-inflation contribution increases – and the factors that are contributing to these stiff increases don’t seem to be abating. Personal Finance reports on how medical schemes are faring, as well as the sometimes conflicting reasons being put forward to explain the escalating cost of private health care.
