UK Acid funk jazz group The Brand New Heavies, will be one of the headline acts at next year’s Cape Town International Jazz Festival.
With hits such as Midnight at the Oasis and Dream Come True, jazz group members Andrew Levy and Simon Bartholomew, pictured, will bring a touch of nostalgia to the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The two-day jazz festival takes place on April 5 and 6. The first half of the line-up (which will include a highly acclaimed Cuban act) was due to be announced tonight.
Tickets for the festival go on sale on December 1 at R440 for a day pass, R640 for a weekend pass and R30 extra for Rosies Stage tickets, especially for jazz fundis. – Theresa Smith
