Thunder and lightning rocked the city last night as a measure of instability in upper air layers brought Cape Town and its hinterland some weather-induced fireworks.

Although thunderstorm activity is not a regular happening here, it is not abnormal.

Temperatures tomorrow might reach a maximum of 29ºC and a minimum of 13ºC, with a bit of a south-easterly.

But things should cool down again later in the week to the more comfortable mid-20s, a forecaster said today.
