Cape Times

Scores of politicians and election officials gathered at the Independent Electoral Commission results and operations centre in Bellville South.

They watched as election results began to trickle in, discussing trends with colleagues and media. Some had been there since voting closed on Wednesday night and were focuses to catch up on what sleep they could while sitting at their desks.
