PUBLIC NOTICE AMENDMENTS TO THE ALIEN AND INVASIVE SPECIES LISTS TO BE PUBLISHED
The Minister of Environmental Affairs, Mrs Edna Molewa, published the amended Alien and Invasive Species (AIS) Lists in Government Notice 40166 in terms of the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act, 2004 (Act 10 of 2004).
The AIS Lists must be read in conjunction with the Alien and Listed Invasive Species Regulations published in GN R. 598 of Government Gazette 37885 dated 1August 2014.
These amended AIS Lists replace and repeal the AIS Lists published in Government Notice 599 of 1 August 2014 and will come into effect on 27 September 2016.
