A TEENAGER was injured when a car crashed into his Khayelitsha home early yesterday.
Cousins Lisakhanya Sicethe and Lonwabo Teti were woken by a loud bang when the car was driven straight into the Kuwait Street house, into the room in which they were sleeping.
Bricks fell on the two, injuring Lisakhanya, 13.
Their aunt, Sibongile Keki, said Lisakhanya had head and body injuries.
He was taken to Khayelitsha District Hospital, where he was treated and bandaged.
“The car destroyed the yard and went into a back room where they were sleeping,” she said. “Everything that was in the room was destroyed. They will have to buy new furniture.”
The house belongs to the Sicethe family.
