A 10-YEAR-OLD girl is the third child to be shot in gang-related shootings in the province this month.

Logan van Graan, of Drury Court in Lavender Hill, is being treated in hospital after being shot in her arm.

She joins Rizaar Ariefdien, 9, who was struck by a stray bullet in Manenberg last month, and an 11-year-old girl, who was shot and wounded while standing in the
kitchen in Paarl earlier this month.

Logan was caught in the same gang crossfire which killed 27-year-old Ramano Noble (nicknamed "Bal"), of Parkin Court, and left his neighbour, Elton van Beulen, 30, wounded.

Police are investigating murder and attempted murder charges.

The little girl's sister, Ashleigh, 21, said Logan was playing in the front yard of their home when the family heard gunshots and Logan came running inside with a bloodied arm.

The bullet had entered and exited her left upper arm.

“We are so thankful that she is okay for now, and that the bullet didn't hit her chest,” Ashleigh said.

Noble’s last words to his parents, after being shot six times on Friday night, was that he loved them.

Police found the the 27-year-old lying spreadeagled on the gravel between nearby Constitution, Stone and Ashley courts.

His mother said his last words were: “Mommy, I love you.”

He died hours later in hospital after being caught in the drive-by shooting which left Van Beulen and Logan wounded.

Ramano’s father said his son was unmarried and had no children.

His shooting has been a great shock to the family, said his father.

Police spokesperson Noloyiso Rwexana said a case of murder and attempted murder was being investigated.

“We appeal to the community. Anyone with information that can assist with the investigation is requested to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111,” Rwexana said.
