Dewani killer gets life
The Western Cape High Court jailed Xolile Mngeni for life today for killing honeymoon tourist Anni Dewani.
He was also handed down 15 years for robbery with aggravating circumstances and five years for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, which would run concurrently with his life term.
Judge Robert Henney convicted him of the crimes last week.
Dewani, 28, was shot dead in Gugulethu on November 13, 2010, in an allegedly faked hijacking.
Her body was found the next day.
