After a week of confusion, Computicket has clarified that tickets for the soccer match between Manchester United and Ajax Cape Town at Cape Town Stadium will go on sale on Monday.
The City of Cape Town had issued a media statement on Friday, saying the tickets would go on sale a week earlier, last Monday, June 18.
Computicket’s Neil Davids said he did not know why the city had done this, as his company had been given the event to load on to its system only this week. He said Computicket could sell the tickets only next week.
“The match will kick off at 15:00 (3pm). Tickets will range between R150 and R350 and will be available through Computicket as from Monday, 18 June, 2012,” read the statement from Grant Pascoe, mayco member for tourism, events and marketing.
The 19-time English Premier League champions will play Ajax Cape Town in the MTN Football Invitational on July 21.
