A male pedestrian was killed this afternoon on the N2 in Khayelitsha, Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics were on scene within minutes of receiving the emergency call. They discovered the man’s lifeless body lying some distance away from the vehicle.
The occupants of the vehicle sustained only minor injuries and were thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The exact cause of the collision is not yet known. Local authorities were on scene to close that portion of the highway and to begin their investigations.
