Minister in the Presidency Trevor Manuel said yesterday that Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu must be allowed to be angry, after the archbishop’s comments on the ANC government last week.

Tutu told Manuel in front of close friends at a ceremony to honour the late Kader Asmal over the weekend: “You don’t belong in this government.”

Manuel said during a Midday Report on Talk Radio 702 and 567 CapeTalk interview yesterday: “I have too much respect for him to discuss this in the media.”
