SAA said it had managed to recover its flight schedule yesterday, after a strike by cabin crew earlier this week left thousands of passengers stranded for hours.

The strike over international meal allowances forced at least 50 nationwide flights and one international flight to be cancelled.

#SACCA says although it doesn't agree with the SAA interdicting it's #SAAstrike it respects court decision & cabin crews are back at work.

A spokesperson for the SA Cabin Crew Association was reported to have said the crew had not had an international meal allowance increase in six years, and wanted their daily allowance raised from $131 (R1 724) for three meals to $170 a day.

Spokesperson Tlali Tlali said SAA successfully applied for an interdict at the Labour Court.

#SACCA says it's confident the courts will rule in their favour and will see a second wave of the #SAAstrike
