A Kenilworth woman accused of orchestrating her husbands murder was released on R30 000 bail on Monday morning.

Petina Coetzee made a brief appearance in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court for her bail application hearing.

Coetzee is accused of trying to secure a killer to murder her husband Austin Coetzee.

The 44-year-old mother of three was arrested last Tuesday morning by police who had been tipped off that she was planning the murder.

Police say she was nabbed in a sting operation in the parking lot of the Lansdowne train station after handing over an undisclosed amount of money to the “hitman”

Her bail conditions includes reporting to the Elsies River police station everyday, and handing in her passport.

Coetzee is expected back in court on December 2.
