A periodic glance at the political barometer reveals that the mercury is fast rising and forecasting an unhealthy socio-political climate that cannot be ignored. We as a nation are deemed to have fast crossed deep into the red zone of chaos. The disgusting behavioural patterns of those who claim to be "leaders" cannot be tolerated. Elected politicians are in public disarray and seemingly unashamed and unperturbed by the apparent mess.

The current climate is unacceptable and oozes an unhealthy, polluted air of instability. This is all synonymous with a ruling party largely fragmented and at best disjointed with revealing structural cracks and threatening failure. The sacred chambers of government houses have lost their sanctity and are marred by political hooligans displaying unsavoury behaviour in the full gaze of an international audience. What was once hallowed ground is now a circus and the clowns are not failing to perform and draw scorn and laughter. To them it’s a matter of the show must go on regardless, our nation is truly pitied and degraded.

The nationwide disruption, destruction and violent strike action is a too familiar occurrence. The blatant ravaging and plundering of hard-earned taxpayers' money is the rule and norm, not the exception. Infrastructural services and state-owned property are targets of vandals and vandalism, continuously going up in flames. Several schools torched in one area come as no real surprise as the cry for basic service delivery escalates nationally.

Organised crime, violent crime and the ongoing drug scourge and related gang activity have the SAPS in a quandary as the gang bosses wage influence and power.
I believe the majority of South Africans have long become irritated and are largely disillusioned as so much has hopelessly gone out of control.

While things appear as they do, I want to assure you today the real reins of governance, power and order in our country and that of the whole world are firmly in the hands of an unseen supernatural power, a God that slumbers not, nor sleeps. The heavens of heavens cannot contain God, the Creator and Sovereign of the universe. The presence, wisdom and power of God are all infinite, and extend throughout the heavens and the whole earth, thus rendering God Omnipresent, Omniscient and Omnipotent. A future perfect and unfailing government of all nations, encompassing the entire world, is squarely and safely upon the shoulders of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, as recorded in the Bible, Isaiah chapter 9, verses 6 and 7.

The Nationalist's apartheid regime was in power for close to five decades before power was strategically wrestled from them. The state of the nation at the time dictated that drastic change must come and that a new democracy rise. God does have a permissive will; he allows things to happen that we at the best of times cannot fathom nor understand. It is God and God only that raises governments and God equally dissolves the same. The Nationalists' fraudulent and evil reign had to come to an end at some time as the plight, heartache and hardship of the masses consistently came up before God. The ruling ANC party is now only in its 23rd year of power and we as a nation are slip-sliding into what appears to be anarchy, change must come.

The ANC government must never, never claim, nor believe, nor say as they did, that they will be in power until Jesus comes. They should rather prepare for His coming as that alone is promised.

No political party is guaranteed endless reign and uncontrolled power. God permitted the Israelites of old to be in bondage for 430 long years under a hard and merciless hand of Pharaoh the Egyptian king. The Bible states in Exodus chapter 3 verses 6, 7 and 8 that God saw the hardships of the Israelites and came to deliver them by the hand of Moses the prophet of God. Moses on four occasions appeared before Pharaoh the King with these words, “Let my people go”, the Bible, Exodus chapter 5 verse 1, chapter 8 verse 1, chapter 9 verse 1 and chapter 10 verse 3.

Ironically, and most fitting, past ANC leader Chief Albert Luthuli’s autobiography is titled Let my people go. Political freedom did come at last and we can be thankful that it was only political freedom and that it did not include economic freedom. Imagine if the economic inequalities had to be corrected 23 years ago. The ANC government would in all likelihood have been bankrupt today, purely judging from the present-day
corruption.

I believe that state-assisted economic wealth inequalities must be corrected and that wealth redistribution to a certain extent should take place, however, not with President Jacob Zuma as head of state and all the rampant, ongoing corruption. Economic freedom for the present should be non-negotiable, ruled out and a transparent path of constructive purging enforced under a newly created ministry.

An appointed Minister for the Prohibition of State Theft and Corruption should be introduced as a matter of urgency. We can no longer stand by and be witness to a government failing in so many areas. The black power struggle and overwhelming black domination must end. The nation, the economy, etc is being held hostage by the bold antics of the ruling party – liberation is long overdue. All of our nation should be party to a free, fair and prosperous South Africa, as a beacon of hope on the African continent.

The present-day ANC leaders rose from the shoulders of many past ANC greats. These greats, if they could, would weep uncontrollably to see the ideals they fought for in the great Struggle, largely trampled underfoot. We greatly value the guardians of the state Treasury and Finance who resolutely engage sound fiscal policies and uphold ethical practices in the best interest of all South Africans. They tirelessly battle to ensure that the fiscus stays "in the black" and that our credit rating stays above junk status.

The OGP (Open Government Partnership) Africa Regional Conference held in Cape Town is a beacon of hope for remedial action and solution to defaulting governments. The OGP provides a platform for those committed to reform in making their governments more transparent and accountable to their citizens. The OGP will explore means of ending corruption and illicit financial flows, to garner economic growth, shared prosperity and increased job opportunities.

To every believing South African who finds themselves in a relationship with God, we are cautioned, encouraged and privileged to pray for our leaders, those who are in government, for uneasy lies the head which wears the crown.
