Watch the Olympic opening ceremony

The opening ceremony for the 2012 London Olympic Games will be broadcast on SABC 2 on Friday night at 9.30pm.

The SABC, will deliver the Olympics across its three television channels, SABC 1,2 & 3 and its radio stations.

Although there is a transversal strategy, broadcast swill centre on SABC 2 - the home of the Olympics - with other content broadcasted on other channels.

The Opening Ceremony will be broadcast until 1:45am.

The closing Ceremony takes place on 12 August
