Getting everything teed up for the big day are sponsors, from left, Mark Tuttle of TIB Insurance, Sam Daykin of Rodel Financial Services, Dean Harrison of SKLZ Golf Training Aids, Stephanie Berry of The Sunflower Fund and Andrew Church also from Rodel.
Preparations for the seventh annual Sunflower Fund Golf Day are in full swing.
The fund-raising event, held in association with Rodel Financial Services, takes place on Tuesday, July 24, at Mount Edgecombe Country Club and the cost per 4ball is R2 052. This excludes the cost of the golf cart which is essential if playing on course two.
The format is a 4ball alliance, two scores to count and the top 20 teams receive a prize. To book a 4ball or sponsor a prize, goodie bag items or teebox, contact Stephanie Berry at 078 207 9041 or e-mail steph@sunflowerfund.org.za
A wheelbarrow of golfers’ “favourites” is being put together for the main raffle prize so the sponsorship of beverages and snacks (biltong, crisps, chocolates, nuts) is very welcome.
Thank you to Rodel, SKLZ, TIB, Spar, Venga, MTN and The International Hotel School for their generous sponsorship.
All money raised from the day will be used to pay for the tissue typing of potential bone marrow stem cell donors for inclusion on the South African Bone Marrow Registry. The more donors on the registry, the more hope children and young adults diagnosed with leukaemia have of finding their life saving donor match.
