Birmingham, West Midlands - This, says German manufacturer Morelo, is the cruise liner of motorhomes, its biggest and most luxurious model.

While every other camper builder is trying to make them as compact as possible, the Morelo Empire Liner is based on a Mercedes-Benz Atego truck chassis and comes in three sizes: 90L, 100GB and 110 GSO.

This one, the star of the Motorhome and Caravan show, on this week at the Birmingham NEC, is the middle option - although at 10.29m long, 2.5m wide and 3.72m high, it's anything but medium-sized!

Standard equipment includes underfloor heating and a gourmet kitchen.

A year in development, it's powered by a 7.7-litre V6 turbodiesel rated at 220kW and an unstoppable 1200Nm, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and weighs almost nine tons - but it's what's inside that makes it so special, starting with underfloor heating, a fully-equipped luxury kitchen and a bathroom with a rain shower.

Look up at the stars while you sip your après-sex champagne.

The bedroom features a huge double bed and a panoramic glass roof; optional extras include satellite TV and a garage for a Smart car (no, we're not kidding!). The target market, says the maker, is A-list film stars and Formula One drivers.

Empire Liner pricing starts at €393 500 (R6.2 million) and the maker says there is no limit to specification options; the one you see here is yours for just £382 960 (R6.7 million).
