Sydney- Australian police have warned of an epidemic in child pornography, saying paedophiles were increasingly recording themselves abusing children and sharing images with child sex networks.

Australian Federal Police said they used to find hundreds of pictures on a suspect’s computer but now hundreds of thousands or millions of images and videos were being hoarded.

The number of Australians arrested last year for child pornography offences was 180, compared with 136 in 2010.- Sapa-AFP
