Eight people were seriously injured on Friday morning when two minibus taxis collided at the intersection of Supply and Umgeni roads in Springfield Park, Durban.
Another 10 suffered minor injuries.
Netcare911 spokesman, Jeffrey Wicks, said the taxis entered the intersection simultaneously and collided, one pushing into the side of the other.
“Paramedics arrived at the scene to find the injured had spilled out from the vehicles and were at the roadside.
He said all the passengers were stabilised at the scene and taken to medical facilities.
