Health Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi says first year university students are one of the most vulnerable groups to HIV-infection because they suddenly have more freedom.

Speaking at the launch of a nationwide HIV-testing campaign at UWC on Tuesday, he warned students to take responsibility for their health and to protect themselves against HIV infection.

Dubbed First Things First ,the campaign is a mass voluntary HIV counselling and testing campaign that is being rolled out at the country’s institutions of higher learning. It aims to test at least 35 000 students.
