Sita Thakurani Devi Dasi chants a mantra during the Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at the Hare Krishna Temple in Chatsworth. The temple is celebrating Sri Krishna Janmashtami (the appearance of Lord Krishna) with much festivity. Thousands of devotees are expected to offer worship to the deities of Sri Sri Radha Radhanath throughout Thursday culminating with a special midnight arati (prayer). Cultural entertainment, including bhajans, dances, drama and discourses on Vedic scripture, will be a part of the evening’s line-up. Free vegetarian meals will be served. All welcome.
