Former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela’s report on state capture has been released.
President Jacob Zuma had gone to court to interdict Madonsela from releasing the report, which deals with her investigation into whether Zuma and other state officials had inappropriate links with the Gupta family and had breached the codes of ethical conduct.
On Wednesday morming Zuma withdrew his application and the Gauteng High Court, Pretoria, ordered Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane to release the report by 5pm.
