DURBAN - A man is in a critical condition after he was stabbed multiple times on Wednesday during an apparent robbery after his vehicle broke down. The incident took place along the N2 northbound carriageway, just after the M7 interchange.
Garrith Jamieson, spokesman for Rescue Care, said the man suffered multiple stab wounds to his upper body and was stabilised at the scene before being rushed to hospital. The victim is in his 30s.
“He was in a critical state,” added Jamieson.
It is alleged that the man’s car had broken down and he was waiting for help when the two men attacked him. Police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
