DURBAN - FIREFIGHTERS in Durban are currently fighting a massive factory fire at the New Germany Industrial Park, where a fire has broken out at one of the warehouses.
It is unclear at this stage what the cause of the fire was, but the eThekwini firefighters were on scene fighting the blaze.
Garrith Jamieson, a spokesperson for Rescue Care paramedics, said there were no reported injuries, but said paramedics were on standby. Jamieson said the warehouse remained well alight.
Jamieson added that the Escombe Road and Chelsea Avenue had been closed to allow emergency vehicles to enter the area.
Members of the public in that area are urged to use alternative routes.
