London - Josh Duhamel has signed on to host Nickelodeon's 26th Annual Kids' Choice Awards.

The Safe Haven star - who is married to Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie - has revealed he is really looking forward to hosting the star-studded event because he's still a child a heart.

The 40-year-old actor told USMagazine.com: “Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards is a great event that celebrates kids by honouring their opinions and taps into the kid in all of us.

“I have a lot of secret plans for when I host the awards, but I can tell you I'm excited to lead millions of kids into total crazy fun, chaos and, of course, endless slime!”

Previous presenters have included Will Smith, Justin Timberlake, Cameron Diaz and Ben Stiller.

The event will take place on March 23, at the University of Southern California's Galen Centre in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live.

The hunky actor and his wife Fergie have been vocal about their desire to have children and she previously admitted she will be “very excited” when she does fall pregnant.

She said: “It's definitely something that we're interested in doing. We made no secret of that. We'll be very excited when it happens.” - Bang Showbiz
