Hilary Duff isn't worried about losing her baby weight.

The 24-year-old actress - who has three-month-old Luca Cruz with her retired NHL player husband Mike Comrie - hopes to lose the extra pounds "in time", but feels comfortable taking it slow and is enjoying the "free pass" motherhood has given her to eat what she likes.

Speaking on US chat show 'Access Hollywood Live', the blonde beauty said: "I am working out and I'm trying not to [obsess].

"Everyone wants their body back, but all in time. It took nine months to get there and so hopefully, it won't take that long to get it off, but I'm doing it slowly."

The 'Lizzie McGuire' star has embarked upon a fitness regime of Pilates, hiking, spin classes and circuit training, but insists she is happy to take breaks from her schedule and won't rush herself to get her figure back.

Hilary added: "My whole life I've worked out and exercised and been in the public eye and always kind of watched what I ate.

"And this was like a free pass and it was a blast."

The actress-turned-singer did admit she would "try not to gain as much weight" if she has a second baby with Mike, 31, but insists she "had fun [the first time]. I wouldn't go back and change it because I had a lot of fun".

Hilary stars opposite Charlie Sheen in new comedy 'She Wants Me', out on DVD in September. - Bang Showbiz
