During a peformance in Canada for his Saint Pablo tour on Saturday, Kanye West slammed those imitating his floating stage idea, saying, “This the original. Accept no imitations. You with the rap God right now. Niggas be copying my s**t bro. Stealing our shit, stealing stages. Copying our shit one-to-one.”

Kanye didn't mention any names but Cassper Nyovest, who has consistently and unashamedly said that he is the Kanye West of South Africa, came forward to claim that he had the idea first.

He posted a photo to Instagram, with the caption:: “This is what we did last year.”

He followed that up by tweeting the same image early Monday morning, writing, “Woke up to my name on American blogs about how I possibly stole kanye's stage. We did this a year ago already. lol. Ya Neh.”

Could it be, then, that Kanye is the Cassper Nyovest of America? Oh no, that angle has already been taken by AKA.

He said earlier this year on Sway that Kanye is the American AKA. So if Cassper did the floating stage a year ago, who's the copy cat here?

Or this could be a case of 'great minds think alike'.

But, a little detail spotted by XXL magazine has

Cassper went to post another image on social media showing written text behind the floating stage: “If you're reading this I made it”, which is similar to Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late cover

So ... what do you have to say about that, Cassper?
