Lady Gaga's Super Bowl show will focus on the spirit of equality.

The 30 year old singer has been putting the finishes touches to her much-anticipated performance at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Sunday 5 Feb 2017, and she has offered fans an insight into what they can expect from the 13-minute show.

She said: "The only statements that I'll be making during the half-time show are the ones that I have been consistently making during my career. I believe in a passion for inclusion, I believe in the spirit of equality." Gaga said that America's essence is love and kindness, adding that her performance will uphold those philosophies.

The 'Million Reasons' hit-maker also promised NFL bosses there would not be a repeat of Janet Jackson's infamous wardrobe malfunction, which overshadowed her Super Bowl performance in 2004 and caused a huge stir worldwide. She said: "Everything's going to be nice and tight for the game, I wouldn't worry about that, unfortunately."

Meanwhile, Gaga recently admitted that her over-the-top performances helped to secure her the Super Bowl half-time show. The chart-topping star suggested that her eye-catching shows and innovative ideas convinced NFL bosses to hire her to appear at the interval.

Looking forward to her performance in Houston, she said: "There's a lengthy process to go through, meeting with the NFL and sort of applying and discussing what you would do in the first place. "I think that part of how they decide who is going to come and do the half-time show is based on our ideas and what we want to do. They were really excited about the show we wanted to put on.

"They've been super-supportive. They've been there every day at the rehearsal space with us and cheering me on as I rehearse. It's been great."
