London - Robbie Williams is to perform at his dad's wedding.

The 'Candy' hitmaker's father Pete Conway is set to marry his South African-born fiancée Melanie Mills and asked his son if he would provide the entertainment at the ceremony - a gesture which Robbie is "thrilled" about.

A source revealed to The Sun newspaper: "Robbie is thrilled - he is Best Man and will sing. There's talk he will do the first dance, maybe something during the ceremony too."

Club singer Pete - who performed at Robbie's wedding to Ayda Field in Los Angeles in 2010 - previously spoke of how "pleased" his singing sensation son was when he found out they were engaged.

Speaking soon after proposing to Melanie, 38, in Malta last year, he said: "Robbie is so, so pleased for me. Melanie and I have been together for over two years so we thought we'd get engaged."

And the 64-year-old patriarch admitted at the time he was hopeful the 'Angels' singer would perform at their nuptials.

He added: "The next thing is to plan the marriage. When it happens Robbie might sing, wouldn't that be lovely. We've got to all get together and plan it."

The couple met through the children's hospice charity Donna Louise Trust in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, West Midlands, which Robbie is a patron of and Melanie is head of fundraising.
