Jane Fonda is single again at 79 after ending her eight year relationship with music producer Richard Perry.
Mr Perry, 74, confirmed the split, saying: ‘We are still very close?...?it’s not a break up, it’s a shift in the direction of our lives.
‘We care about each other a great deal and as far as romantic relationships, that’s temporarily been put on the back burner because she has rededicated herself to activism.’

Oscar-winning actress and passionate campaigner Miss Fonda joined protesters outside Trump Tower in New York earlier this week to rally against the US President’s decision to resume construction of two controversial pipelines, which critics say will harm the environment.
The mother of three has previously been married to CNN founder Ted Turner, politician Tom Hayden and director Roger Vadim, who cast her in 1968 sci-fi film Barbarella. Mr Perry was previously married to actress Rebecca Broussard but they divorced after just a year together in 1988.
The announcement of the split comes the day after the couple listed their luxurious Beverly Hills home on the market for $13million. Miss Fonda bought the property for $7.2million in 2012.

Insiders say they are selling the house as they want to live separately but Mr Perry thinks there is still hope for a reconciliation.
