Khanyi Mbau has made headlines for all the wrong reasons, and all the secrets of her tabloid lifestyle will be revealed in a tell-all biography, Bitch Please! I’m Khanyi Mbau.

It’s written by entertainment and celebrity journalist Lesley Mofokeng and, according to the blurb, it’s a story of a young starlet who let sudden fame go to her head.

Speaking to The Star on Thursday, Mofokeng said his “saucy subject’s story” was one that had to be shared.

The initial idea for the book came from one of his Facebook friends.

“We met at an event when the Kardashians were in the city and I told her, ‘Khanyi, I’m writing your book’ and she turned and said, ‘Let’s’,” Mofokeng said.

That was December 2010.

The 180-page book will hit bookstores on August 15. It will be released in soft cover, and a limited-edition hard cover of 500 copies.

“I’ve always wanted to write a book and I’m honoured she trusted me with hers… not only that, but she bared her soul to me. There are chapters in the book that are just chilling,” Mofokeng said.

“I feel like I’m about to parade naked in front of the whole nation. I’m extremely nervous, but above all, I’m confident that people will find something they’ll remember from the book.”

On Thursday, Mbau was at rehearsals for her role as SA music icon Lebo Mathosa in a musical tribute to her. - The Star
