London - Mel B has been banned from starring in 'Australia's Got Talent'.

The former Spice Girls singer was due to take on the role of judge in the channel Nine talent show, but a judge has now ruled an injunction to prevent her from working for any Australian TV network other than Seven.

The feisty star has been embroiled in legal drama since 'X Factor' channel Seven's rival network Nine poached her for their similar show, despite signing an exclusive contract with Seven until January 31, 2014.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper, Justice David Hammerschlag said on Thursday (18.04.13): "This matter concluded that Seven is entitled to injunctive relief. Seven was keen, and I accept remains keen and willing, to employ Mel in the manner originally contemplated. The problem is with Mel.

"Under the agreement, Mel has an obligation to provide her exclusive services to Seven and Seven is entitled to her performance of this obligation. I see no reason why she should not be ordered to keep her word that she would not work for anyone but Seven in Australia in 2013."

It was revealed in court that Brad Lyons, the head of production at Seven, was told by Mel's husband Stephen Belafonte she would not be returning because she was having custody problems and couldn't fly her kids out to join her in Australia.

Mel claimed her ex Eddie Murphy - with whom she has daughter Angel Iris - refused to sign a consent form which would have allowed her to get an Australian VISA.

The outspoken star will have to be replaced on 'AGT', while it is not yet known whether she will return to 'The X Factor'. - Bang Showbiz
