London - Sharon Osbourne has accused Lady Gaga of having “hurtful and violent” fans.
The showbiz matriarch is outraged about receiving death threats from the Judas singer's supporters - known as Little Monsters - after branding her a “bully” following Gaga's open letter to Sharon's daughter Kelly Osbourne in which she criticised her job on E! TV series Fashion Police.
Speaking on US chat show The Talk, Sharon ranted: “Don't let your fans be so hideously damaging, hurtful, violent... on your own website. If you are the Mother Monster, monitor it.
“Why haven't you, as a responsible young woman, said, 'No violence on my website, no violence, no threats, no violence'? Everything is guns, guns, guns. This is not right, and she should be stopped.”
The former America's Got Talent judge also called the 26-year-old singer “irresponsible”, seemingly in reference to one of the eccentric star's more daring stage outfits on her Born This Way Ball world tour, which saw her don a bra decorated with two guns.
She then accused Gaga of being a hypocrite and contradicting the message of her anti-bullying Born This Way Foundation.
Sharon added: “All I'm asking her to do is to stay true to her foundation, which she said she created because she wants the world to be a braver, kinder world.”
The public feud kicked off when Gaga claimed Kelly's show Fashion Police “breeds negativity” by treating celebrities like “zoo animals” in response to the presenter's claims last autumn that the singing superstar's supporters had encouraged her to commit suicide.
Sharon then hit back, asking Gaga to tell her fans to stop “writing libellous, slanderous and vile comments about my family”.
Gaga replied at the weekend, saying: “Nobody takes adolescents seriously, I do. My letter to Kelly Osbourne was open, because her statements on cyber-bullying were public & as a youth activist I'm compelled to be involved.” - Bang Showbiz
