Hip-hop fans get ready! J Cole will be coming to the little town of Cullinan.

The historical diamond village is expecting 100 000 people from all over the continent to visit from September 26 to 28.

Cullinan, with the help of the Tshwane metro, will be hosting the inaugural TribeOne Dinokeng music festival.

More than 150 artists from across the continent and the US will be performing over the two-day event.

These include Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Kid Ink as well as South African artists Liquideep and Kwesta.

The initial line-up was announced at a media conference hosted by comedian Trevor Gumbi at the Hard Rock Café on Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton on Monday.

South African artists Karen Zoid, Tailor, Desmond & the Tutus, The Dollfins and Beatenberg have been included in the line-up.

There are also massively impressive African acts like WinkyD, Redsan and Nameless who have been booked to perform.

J Cole was announced as the headline act for the Diamond Fields main stage on September 26.

Cole first received recognition in 2007 with his mixtape The Come Up. By 2009, he was signed to Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation.

Kid Ink has enjoyed several successful collaborations with the likes of Chris Brown, Trey Songz and 2 Chainz.

The idea behind the TribeOne Dinokeng will make it the first festival of its kind to be held here.

It will be a mix of South African and African music, with big hip-hop acts.

The organisers, Rockstar4000, said they will be announcing the names of additional performing artists in the next few days.

Rockstar4000, in collaboration with the City of Tshwane, South African Tourism and Gauteng Tourism, are the official concert partners with the Cullinan Diamond Mine and energy drink Power Horse.

People attending will have the option of camping on site, renting hotel rooms or staying at B&Bs. - The Star
