Maggz is walking in Nomuzi Mabena and Kid X’s footsteps who left Cash Time last year. The source close to Maggz revealed some of the reasons why Maggz is leaving:
“Maggz and Cash Time were just looking for different thing. He still has a lot of respect for the guys but he just felt like it was time to move on,” a source said.
Maggz told the media that he would be releasing a statement soon, addressing his future with the label. Cash Time Co-Founder, Thabiso Khati, said the label’s future is secure even with Maggz leaving. “We are not concerned about the future of CashTime life. We are simply changing our business model to adapt to a very difficult environment,” Khati said.
