Johannesburg - Jason Derulo, Jessie J and Fallout Boy will share a stage in Joburg.

With a brand-new music festival popping up this year, South Africans are spoilt for choice.

iHeart Joburg is the latest music event to get hearts racing by bringing six big international acts to local shores. Three of these were revealed yesterday on social media.

The inaugural annual iHeart Joburg festival on September 6 is an uninterrupted 12-hour musical explosion dedicated to the city.

After weeks of generating interest by putting up teasers on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, the promoters revealed half of the international artists who will be headlining their fest and one local act, Crash Car Burn.

”The iHeart Joburg Music Festival will be an event unlike any other with a killer line-up, amazing experiential areas and some history-making moments,” said Garreth van Vuuren, a producer at Steyn Entertainment, the company that created the fest.

The iHeart Joburg event will be held at the Coca-Cola Stadium and tickets will be available at Computicket from Wednesday.
